Function GenAI Engineer Within our Conversational AI & CRM department, we build and evolve all of Rabobank’s conversational channels — including GenAI chatbots, voicebots, messaging, telephony, and video. As a GenAI Engineer, you play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of Rabobank’s customer-facing GenAI experiences. You combine deep hands-on expertise in Power Platform and Copilot Studio with technical leadership and architectural thinking. You guide the team in designing, building, and continuously improving our flagship GenAI-driven agent, while ensuring enterprise-grade quality, security, ALM discipline, and smooth collaboration with dependent teams across the bank. Your Impact • Provide technical direction for GenAI use cases, including grounding, orchestrations, safety configurations, and prompt design patterns; • Drive adoption of best practices of prompt engineering, different prompting techniques, architecture, integration patterns, solution design, RAG systems; • Guide and mentor other Agent Makers, supporting them in complex builds, reviews, and hands-on problem‑solving; • Define and implement ALM strategy for Genesys AI Studio and Rabo AI assistants, ensuring reliability and repeatability across environments; • Responsible of AI governance and testing frameworks: regression testing, LLM-as-a-judge, E2E testing; • Collaborate closely with dependent teams to align on designs, requirements, and integration needs; • Represent the team in stakeholder discussions, collaborating with end users and translating technical insights into business cases. Requirements Your Tech Stack • Platforms: Genesys AI Studio, Azure Functions; • AI & Orchestration: GenAI, prompt patterns, prompt chaining, agent-based automation; • Integration: REST APIs, event-driven and legacy system integration; • Programming language: Python; • Cloud & CI/CD: Azure, Azure DevOps pipelines; • Monitoring & Insights: Databricks, Power Bi. Nice to have • Platforms: Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Platform, Genesys Cloud API knowledge; • Programming language: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), C#; • Network and Security: Virtual Networks, private endpoints, firewalls, identity and access management, API security, and secrets management. Your Profile • You have a relevant HBO or university degree; • 6+ years of Data Engineering, Data Science or Software Engineering, of which at least 2 years working Generative AI; • Proven experience building or integrating with conversational AI or agent-based automation; • Hands-on expertise building AI Assistants: generative orchestration, function calling, prompt engineering and guardrails, connector/API integrations; • Able to coach peers, challenge designs, and elevate team-level quality; • Agile mindset, proactive problem-solver, and excellent communicator; • Passionate about leveraging GenAI to create intelligent, customer-centric solutions; • You are innovative at heart – showing initiative, pushing boundaries and creating value-driven solutions; • Strong understanding of AI governance and testing frameworks: regression testing, LLM-as-a-judge, E2E testing.
